CEMSHIELD
Cemshield is a cement based decorative product specially formulated to replace rendering and decorating by one operation. It is time saving, inexpensive and durable.
When dry, it forms a rock hard coating with remarkable waterproof qualities. It can be used inside or out, protecting a building and at the same time improving its appearance. The surface can be washed, scrubbed or buildings, factories, garages, warehouses and so on. Cemshield if correctly applied and cured has an estimated life of 8years.

•  COVERING CAPACITY
50kg of Cemshield mixed with water and applied in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions will, for one coat, cover approximately 15-20m 2 depending upon the absorbency and alignment of the backing and the thickness of application.
There will always be appreciable savings in cost when compared with traditional plastering and decoration.

APPLICATION METHODS

A.     APPLICATION WITH COMPRESSOR

Equipment – Use gravity fed open hopper type gun with direct air feed from compressor. The compressor must be capable of maintaining 2.1kgf/cm (20-30Ibf/c). 
Application – A one coat finish is sprayed on in two stages. First, a flash coat at ) Keep at arm’s length away from the wall (20-30Ibf/in1.4-2.1kgf/cm and circular motion. ) and build up  (15-20Ibf/inReduce pressure to 1-1.4kgf/cmthe surface to the required texture.
Curing – Cure with a light spray of water 3 times a day until it is hard (4-7 days). 
Mixing – For a greater depth of colour, a second coat with only half a measure of cemshield and applied over a hard first coat as before.  
Cleaning – Clean all equipment with water.

 B.    APPLICATION WITH BLOCK BRUSH    
Application - It should be easy to apply with a block brush. Frequently stir the material being used. Whenever possible complete to an architectural feature at a break.   
Curing- Cure with a light spray of water the following day, early morning, mid day and evening or until hardened.  
Mixing – For a greater depth of colour, a second coat with only half a measure of cemshield and applied over a hard coat as before.  
Weather – Avoid working in the rain. Protect from rain until dry. 
Cleaning – Clean all equipment with water.

•  SUITABLE BACKING
Fair faced bricks, concrete block work, lightweight blocks, breezeblocks sand/cement bricks, rough cement rendering and rough concrete. Cemshiled must not be applied to gypsum plaster, smooth steel trowelled cement plaster, very smooth concrete facing bricks, wooded or metal surfaces. Nor should it be applied to surfaces previously decorated with lime wash, distemper oil paint or P.V.A paint unless these finishes have been completely removed.

•  COLOUR RANGE
Mid cream, Cream, Pink, Terra Cotta, Light green, Mild blue, Slurry, Pale grey, Dove grey, Champagne, or any other colour of preference.
Colours may be subject to change due to age and no responsibility can be accepted for colour variation.
Packing
Camshield is supplied in 50kg 5-ply paper bags.
