Portland-Emcol Instant Road Repair is our response to government’s decision to encourage private sector participation in road repairs and maintenance in Nigeria.Portland-Emcol IRR is Manufactured with locally sourced raw materials at the Company's Factory in Ewekoro, Ogun State.  

The problem of bad roads starts gradually from a Pothole or crack on the surface of the road which expand gradually across the surface and in depth if not quickly attended to. Portland-Emcol IRR provides an instant and improved maintenance of road at the earliest stage of damage, thereby reducing the risk of accident, loss of life, vehicle damage and other social menance.

USES OF PORTLAND-EMCOL IRR
    Can be securely used as an instant and permanent repair of ASPHALT, CONCRETE, METAL and other surfaces.
    Used for general re-instatement work and for instant, permanent repairs of

- BROKEN AREAS OF ANY SHAPE, DEPTH OR SIZE ON ASPHALT.

APPLICATION METHODS
(SURFACE PREPARATION)
- Minimal preparation.
- In wet conditions, scoop away pool of water from the pothole
- Remove loose debris and oil residue.
- For very deep potholes, laterite may be needed to fill to required depth and compact before  application.
- Areas with prevalent with chemical attack or sediments require special treatment before application.
APPLICATION METHOD

- Tip sufficient products from the pack to over fill the hole ensuring that all edges are filled.
- Compact the material to the surrounding level using a hand tamper, compactor or roller. 
-  For large areas and deep sections use a compactor or vibrating roller by slightly wetting the drum with water.

- If under-filling has taken place, simply add more product and compact to level.
COVERAGE CAPACITY
   A 25KG pack covers approximately,  1m² BY 11MM  thickness per 25KG. Compacted to a density of approximately 2,200 KG/m³

PACKAGING
   It is packed in 25KG drums or double skinned sacks for convenience. 

   Packaging is flexible and can be made available to consumers on request.
